A mid-rise is one of the most comfortable styles of hiking boots ever designed. No ankle constriction but with a lot more ankle support than a shoe, the Talus by Vasque provides optimum support in a package that won't let you down when the trail gets rocky. The upper is made from waterproof 1.8mm Nubuck Leather and abrasion resistant mesh, and it utilizes Vasque's UltraDry waterproofing system. UltraDry combines the waterproof upper with a moisture management lining so outside water doesn't get in, while perspiration is wicked away to keep your feet dry all day. The mid-sole is made of molded PU, a denser material that provides cushioning without sacrificing any stability. The dual density EVA footbed conforms to your foot for a custom fit. The Vibram Nuasi outsole has a cupped sole design specifically designed for hiking and trekking, with large lugs for added traction and side lugs for traction in mud and grass. Please note that the Talus is not an out of the box, hit the trail shoe. There will be a little break in time required.
