The Compressor was designed and built with one purpose- to be the lightest, warmest and most easily packed jacket for the alpine or back country enthusiast. Utilizing the latest in design and materials maximizes the features while eliminating crucial ounces to weigh in at exactly 1 lb, which makes the Compressor the perfect companion deep in the back country or along side a mountain.

Weighing in at exactly 1 lb., the Compressor is designed and built for no nonsense functionality in the backcountry or on the side of a mountain. It's designed using MicroClimate Zoning construction, which provides intelligient variable insulation over the body, specifically keeping the core heated while venting at the sides, and allwing unrestricted movement across arms and shoulders. The Compressor is made of Lunar Ripstop AXF fabric, which is extremely durable and highly water resistant. Insulation is provided by Thermic Micro, a synthetic designed to mimic down in maximum loft and compressability. But Thermic Micro is made from a single piece of fabric, which eliminates cold spots, and unlike down, provides insulation wet or dry- critical when the going gets tough. Easily accessed pockets are set a little higher to avoid pack straps or climbing harnesses. Elastic cuffs keep the weather out while their low profile allows for easy layering. The chin guard is lined with Micro-Chamois to prevent zipper chafe under extreme conditions, and there are dual hem draw cords to provide optimum fit. The low profile hood doesn't limit movement or block lines of sight, and is easily battened down when the real storm hits.
