Description

Synthetic sleeping bags certainly have their share of benefits, and Mountain Hardwear is making strides to ensure that their synthetic bags are every bit as good as down — and then some. Highly compressible, wonderfully warm, and with improved loft, the UltraLamina is so exciting it just might give you goose bumps.

With a women's-specific mummy cut and increased warmth in the torso and footbox, the UltraLamina bag is the latest step on the journey to maximize the life of synthetic sleeping bag fill. By using ThermicMicro fill, Mountain Hardwear is able to achieve a warm, lofty sleeping bag that will perform for years. A single sheet, rather than bits of fill, gives even fill distribution and eliminates cold spots: you won't unpack your sleeping bag to find all the insulation where you need it the least. Lamina welded construction replaces sewn baffles, so you don't lose warmth to crushed insulation. The tailored hood blocks drafts to keep your head and face nice and snug; dual zippers allow you to read in bed, cook a little breakfast from inside your bag, or simply allow in a little ventilation when you get too warm at night.
